The Last month of Covid19 Pandemic ( Hopefully)

 Its been a couple of years since i ticked the tab of my ever reliable laptop for this space which slipped my memory that i do have one space to hone my blog writing.

 A lot of things happened in between this time and so many experiences, events that should have been recorded here for the sake of archiving.

For now, almost everyone are stucked into the idea of being free from the clutches of the dreaded Covid 19 virus that already claimed almost half a million Filipinos as of this writing.

From the time that almost the entire country is shut off from the normal buzz of life due to the Enhance   Community Quarantine  declaration till today General Community Quarantine many are of the belief that they will be again returning to their old ways pre- Covid 19.

But alas, the health authorities together with our government think tank's are of the same wave of thinking that nowhere we can see ourselves returning to the old ways of our daily existence

The new normal, yes they even have a term for it.What is it, i am also clueless and lost as to what to expect given our experiences now that we are into General community quarantine.Social distancing, lock down,  wear your face masks, no face shield no entry, contact tracing, body temperature taking.Limited jeepneys on the road,, almost nil provincial bus operation, closed shops, curfew hour, limited customers in commercial establishments, almost ghost town malls, workers laid off from works, shifting working days for employees, On line class either asynchronous or synchronous, this are some of the things that we were now accustomed to given our story and experiences with the outbreak of this Covid 19 pandemic.

All are awaiting with deep breath the release of the antidote for the virus so that no more precious lives will be snapped from us. More so the courageous front liners,doctors, nurses, policemen, soldiers and so many other workers who put their lives in the line of danger just to make sure that the general public be taken cared of.

The announcement of leading pharmaceutical companies of the vaccine that will protect us from the virus is indeed a very warming, assuring news that we are nearing the end days of our suffering from the lock down.

Hopefully!.

Circumstance

I was enjoying my tasty Takoyaki in one of my favorite Japanese hole in the wall in the vicinity of San Antonio, Makati when my mobile phone rang.It was my wife frantically asking where i am because at that very moment the water in the street where my car is parked was already knee deep and that i needed to moved it to higher grounds.Thus,  as i arrived in the area indeed my car was already inundated that fortunately my friends are there and helped me pushed the car to the next street that somehow still not flooded. 

The car can't be used since i was advised not to start the engine for it would only complicate the trouble of the car and there is a need for me to turn over the car to the service center so that they can fix the engine.This particular instance raised my blood pressure because of the time, effort and money that i will be investing just to make my car road worthy again.Exasperation that lingers to this particular moment is indeed causing me to be so stressed yet in spite of all this trouble i needed to  find my sanity or balance of thought.

Our weather situation nowadays is indeed unpredictable that no matter the circumstance is,  you really have to be advance in predicting the scenarios that might unfold in a given moment.Just like in our personal lives we ought to have an attitude of knowing what our life situation will bring us to in the midst of our daily routine. Will our actions bring us to something positive or will the end result of our activities will simply put us into a bind or is something to consider as indeed worthy of our energy and attention in the end.

I do personally view that in whatever circumstance we are into, it is our personal act that leads us to where our circumstance is at the moment, that there is no need for us to be alarmed for what we are experiencing since this is only the logical consequences of our actions in the past.

In my circumstance, it was my decision to park my vehicle in that area that i knew before hand is a low lying street that whenever rains pour the street will be easily flooded.hence,  my act of deciding to park on that area is the direct reason why i am into this circumstance.I must not be really upset or displeasure since it was me on the first place who made the condition that lead to my present circumstance.

Quandary

               When i enrolled my MBA major in Entrepreneurship my mind was already set to the idea of having a Business Plan that is related to the subjects i am teaching at the College of Business Administration Hospitality Management Department. Immersed into the subject of Domestic and Tour Guiding subjects i decided to pursue a business in Tour Guiding Services  now known as Sampiro Tour Services and Consultancy.

                Foremost in my mind is to tap the very big market of young people longing to experience a guided city tour.Thus, my Guided tour is basically focused on the concrete jungle of Makati City  where unknown to many, this city is not only about malls, the modern sky scrapper buildings,corporate people but amidst this modern backdrop is the very rich cultu-historical landmarks that will make one feel proud of the place, its origins  and its status as a local tour destination.

              What would distinguish my services as compared to other guided tour is the use of modern technology to deliver the spiels and engaging the tourists participation by making the tour fun-filled by allowing them to answer some trivia questions and a corresponding rewards awaits those who could answer it.I would hire competent Guides and would offer competitive compensation to make them more inspired in their work. 

               One may think that the said endeavor is already workable and could lead to a very profitable activity but alas, something happened that can alter the landscape of the business i am thinking.Truth indeed is that we have to be wary of the Business climate or the condition of the society or factors,events that may affect our business. 

            The question now is whether to pursue the business endeavor or to put it on hold until the situation warrants it to proceed.

Early Zen

              Walking briskly to catch my early morning class, seeing the herd of office workers inching their way to the pedestrian crossing, it came to my mind that  i am totally engrossed witnessing the unfolding of a new great day ahead.

              To be aware of the moment and let the present time take its course is a wonderful experience that one will enjoy if only you are in sinc with the world and the happenings around you.

              How i wish that other people would experience the same so as not to be swallowed by the inconvenience of seeing things as something boring, inconsequential or monotonous.

              That everything that comes your way is something that we ought not to take for granted but needs to be accepted as something that unfolds and we have to graciously embrace and be hundred percent immersed and let it flow like a clear and crystal water take its course fully.  

              In this way we become more humane and be free form the hassles of city life that we may now see it in another perspective ,ergo making one more appreciative and be more engaging in his/her daily activity no matter what is it.

A day in a Buddhist temple

It was a great experience walking around the vicinity of this great  ancient Buddhist temple nestled on the highest point of the city.Commanding a great view of the city makes you feel light and easy as the afternoon breeze gently whisper the sound of nature in my ears.The feeling of serenity as you stop and feel the very essence of the place makes one try to linger for a longer period in this revered site.
I am longing to return and visit the place again.

New academic setting

Amidst the concrete jungle of Salcedo Village right in the heart of Makati Central Business district stands majestically a new educational institution which caters to a new breed of profession in the field of animation,web designing,fashion design as well as business management.

It is indeed a new experience for a guru like me to interact with this kind of learners whose passion for their craft can be seen by the way they act and answer questions in my class.I am in the process of learning new insights as i progress in the classroom discussion and lectures of the topics for the day.

The ease of presenting the subject thru the aid of the internet access makes one breeze with confidence the very interesting subject Economics.

Zen in the midst of traffic

To be in harmony with oneself requires a great deal of effort for someone who is always busy with the ways of city life.The everyday struggle of beating time to rush for a ride going to workplace is a very tedious activity that somehow begins the tension of the day.What with the heavy traffic that we must navigate,the suffocating fumes churned by public and private vehicles,the reckless drivers trying to overtake and without any signal would simply slowdown after taking your rear space.Traffic enforcers who has no qualms in stopping or redirecting the flow of traffic in an instant without turning off the street traffic lights first,leads drivers into confusions as to what ought to follow, the traffic lights in green or the hand signal of traffic officers motioning to hurry pass and cross the street corner.Add to the cacophony of moving vehicles are the motorcycles which simply try to crisscross each and every space of the street without any concern if they might simply bump the sides of other vehicles also inching their way to escape traffic.The street peddlers that also competes with drivers in claiming side streets if not the center of the street with their wares like tall umbrella hungers lagged on their shoulders,or the push carts that blocks or impedes the vehicles. This are some of the things that would really make one truly annoyed and somehow make their time miserable.

Can we make another perspective of this scenario?What if we simply try to follow what is on going? Simply trying to observe and be immerse with the ways of the busy street will somehow temper our minds.But it would not be really that easy to achieve that if we will not be one with the present situation.Go with what is going on can be our way of dealing with the traffic in the streets.Be with the traffic and you will be free from the stress and again in sync with yourself.
